DMTU Banquet 2/28/09
Our
annual banquet/fundraiser will
be held at the Towne House Restaurant
in Media, PA on Februrary 28th,
2009. Cocktails will begin at
6pm and Dinner will be at 7pm.

Club Stocking A Great Success
We had a great turn out of members
for our club stocking on a mild
rainy day, Saturday, November
8, 2008.
The Green Springs Trout Farm
truck showed up on time with owner
Chuck at the wheel with his wife
Elaine riding shotgun. Chuck delivered
275 beautiful fish, 17 of were
in the 20-inch trophy category
that would give a three-weight
rod a good test. The fish were
a good mixture of rainbows, browns
and brookies, some of which were
in their bright spawning colors.
We bucketed fish in at the Falls,
the Flat Rock, and above the Bridge
Pool, then floated 100 or so between
the Bridge Pool and the Sycamore
Pool. A second team floated from
the Upturn Pool through the Mud
Hole, the Tar Pit and Barry’s
Pool down to the lower take out
where the remainder of the fish
were bucketed in. Bill Kracht
hid many of the trophy fish, so
check with him if you can’t
spot them.
The Sporting Gentleman contributed
the trophy fish. Two other clubs
also made contributions to our
stocking fund: the South Jersey
Fly Fishers and the Ran Neirle
Chapter TU, both from New Jersey.
Be sure to welcome guys from these
clubs if you see them on the fly
stretch.
